The Observatory
A gallery of amateur astrophotography. These are some of the things I've been able to photograph from my backyard on clear nights.
Lagoon Nebula (M8)
A glowing cloud of gas and young stars in Sagittarius, best seen low in the summer sky.
Orion Nebula (M42)
A stellar nursery visible in the winter sky. This is a composite of multiple short exposures.
Omega Nebula (M17)
Also called the Swan Nebula, a star-forming cloud a little north of the Lagoon in Sagittarius.
